Yes. The crop is applied to the original image at its native resolution, not the on-screen preview — the output dimensions shown next to the download button are the real pixel dimensions.
Which aspect ratio should I use?

Cropping without quality loss
Cropping is inherently lossless in one sense: the pixels you keep are the original pixels, untouched. Quality only changes at export. Downloading as PNG keeps the cropped region bit-for-bit identical to the source; downloading as JPG re-encodes at high quality (92%), which is visually indistinguishable for photos but can soften hard text edges. If you plan to crop and then convert formats, do the crop first — you'll avoid encoding the discarded areas at all.
