Free File Converters
92 conversions · no signup · no watermark · no daily limit
Every converter here does one job and states plainly where it runs. Most never upload anything: the file is decoded and re-encoded by your own browser, which is faster than any upload and means the file cannot leak. The handful that do need a server say so on the page, and explain why.
There is no account, no watermark, no queue and no "upgrade" button, because we do not sell anything here. We are a consultancy; these tools exist because we needed them for client work and the free options were ad farms.
Image converters (56)
Every pair below is a real conversion, not a rename. AVIF, HEIC and TIFF are decoded on our server because no browser can read them; everything else runs on your machine.
Data converters (30)
Tabular and structured data, converted in your browser. Quoted commas, embedded newlines and type inference are handled, and nested values are preserved rather than dropped.
Document converters (6)
Prose formats. Converting out of HTML drops styling and layout, because the target formats have no way to express them.

Frequently asked questions
Are these converters really free?
Yes. No account, no trial, no watermark, no email, no daily limit. We are a consultancy and built these because we needed them; there is nothing to buy on any of these pages.
Do my files get uploaded?
Most of the time, no — the conversion runs in your browser and the file never leaves your computer. The exceptions are formats browsers genuinely cannot read or write: AVIF output, HEIC, TIFF and SVG input. Those are converted on our server in memory and returned immediately, never written to disk and never stored. Each page states which applies before you upload anything.
Why can I not convert an image to SVG?
Because that is not a conversion. Turning a photograph into vector paths is tracing, a lossy and interpretive process that needs human judgement to produce anything usable. We would rather not offer it than offer something that produces garbage. Converting SVG to a pixel format is a real conversion and is supported.
Why is HEIC input only, with no HEIC output?
True HEIC uses HEVC compression, which our image library does not ship an encoder for. We could write an AV1 payload into a file named .heic, and it would technically open in some places, but it would really be an AVIF with a misleading extension. Given the rest of this site exists to stop exactly that kind of mislabelling, we do not offer it.
What is the file size limit?
Browser-side conversions have no practical limit — the file never leaves your machine, so it is bounded only by your own memory. Server-side conversions upload the file, and our host refuses request bodies over about 4 MB, so larger images are automatically re-encoded smaller in your browser first and the page tells you when that happened. If you need a full-quality result from a very large file, convert to PNG, JPG or WebP instead: those run locally at any size.
